Hello Friends and Family,
Welcome to our new family blog we hope you all enjoy it and are able to share with us in our family adventure. We are crazy busy packing and feeling excited, nervous, and deeply heavy-hearted at the thought of leaving all our dear friends and family. We have literally 10 suitcases laid out and at least 7 carry-ons; I thought that would not be nearly enough but realizing our need to simplify, I think its all going to work out (17 bags and all!)
While packing our home we are flooded with blissful memories of neighborhood parties, kids' swimming parties, beautiful meals with friends and family (and wine), decorating babies' rooms, bringing those babies home from the hospital , celebrating ALL the holidays! Feelings of absolute joy have been expressed in this home. Life at 513 W. Braemere has been the greatest pleasure to share with all our loved ones.
Here come those jitters now. Two days till move out; eight days till boarding that jet plane to Lyon.

I'm so excited for all of you! May your adventures bring you much happiness and wonderful new friends. Maybe we'll just have to take a trip France for a visit and to practice our Francais! Farewell dearest Bourgs & travel safe.

ReplyDeleteTrepidation would be normal for anyone in such a huge adventure. But for me, adventure is what makes life sweet! I can only say that it has always brought me good memories and no regrets. I wish the same for your very wonderful family and our good friends. We really do hope to visit as well...just need to figure it all out.
